• Subsidence & Tree-Induced Movement: London and the South East are particularly prone to highly shrinkable clay soils. Following prolonged dry periods or hot summers, vegetation and mature tree roots extract significant moisture from the subsoil, causing localized desiccation, soil shrinkage, and foundation movement. As part of our inspections, we review British Geological Survey (BGS) mapping and data to assess local ground conditions and geology at the site, evaluating these movement patterns to provide appropriate advice and recommendations for the client.
• Wall Cracking, Bowing & Structural Instability: Expert evaluation of masonry cracking, bulging flank walls, lateral restraint failure, leaning elevations, and roof spread.
